October 24-27, 2025 in Mineral, VA
It’s ok to take a break. This fall, join Andrea DiRaddo and Sarah Connel for an extended weekend retreat on Lake Anna in Virginia. With the year it has been, the retreat is an invitation to pause. By taking time to reconnect with nature, our bodies, our minds, our practice - we can then respond to our lives and communities from a space of presence and intentionality. Self care is community care.
The lakefront home offers stunning views and a quiet place to restore. With a working hot tub, fire pit, swinging chairs, and a private boat dock just steps from the house, there’s plenty of space to gather in community or find intentional solitude. We’ll offer yoga and meditation classes both indoors and outdoors, making use of this beautiful space and enjoying the peak of fall.
This retreat is for all bodies, all levels, all genders, all ages, all abilities. Every single person is welcome. Below is a proposed daily itinerary. Our intentions and practices each day will be centered around the natural elements (earth, fire, water, air). Everything is optional. You can curate the weekend to match your needs. The free time each day is built in for exactly that: read, craft, swim, hike, nap - this is your weekend.

More About Your Retreat Leaders

Meet Andrea
C-IAYT, E-RYT-500, FRCms
This year marks 15 years since Andrea moved to DC and her life changed forever. After working as a matchmaker and in business development, she needed a change and never looked back. Andrea has been teaching yoga full time in the DMV for over 10 years and never turned back. Trained in Power Vinyasa Yoga, Rocket Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Pilates, and Functional Range Conditioning®, her sequences are inspired by several different movement modalities. Her classes are full-body focused and typically include sun salutations, standing and seated postures, as well as lots of options for balances, twists, and inversions. She graduated from Maryland University of Integrative Health in 2020 with her MS in yoga therapy and has been working as a C-IAYT ever since. Andrea is currently enrolled at University of District of Columbia completing her MS in Mental Health Counseling.
Andrea is originally from Rochester, NY, her favorite color is purple, favorite food is chocolate (and/or peanut butter), and she is a Pisces sun, Cancer Moon and Libra Rising (so emo). When not teaching you can find Andrea cooking, strength training, or spending as much time as possible with her 5-year old Chihuahua, Ruby, her Springer Spaniel puppy Frankie, and her partner Rachel.

Meet Sarah
RYT 200
Sarah discovered her love for yoga in 2012 while healing from a lower back injury. She has continually incorporated yoga into her life due to the way the practice has impacted her physically, emotionally, and spiritually. She loves to bring curiosity to the mat. She believes our bodies contain so much wisdom and enjoys teaching from a place of exploration. Sarah will encourage students to connect back to their breath and body - highlighting the space and awareness this can bring.
Her classes weave in playful flows, balancing postures, and longer holds that allow students to find their edge while reminding students that her cues are only suggestions and each practice is uniquely their own. Breathwork and meditation are also woven throughout, helping students settle into both movement and stillness.
After moving to D.C., Sarah completed her 200H Teacher Training with Yoga District and is currently working towards an additional 100H in Somatic Stress Release. She is passionate about yogic philosophy and how ancient practices continue to facilitate healing and deeper connection.
When Sarah is not on her yoga mat, you can find her bouldering, cycling, or diving into a creative project. Sarah's favorite food is popcorn and she is an Aries Sun, Taurus Moon, and Taurus Rising (with an Aries and 12h stellium if we want to really get into it).
